Dubai being One of the Biggest Transhipment Hub in the world, many cargo originating from the East are Trans-shipped at Jebel Ali Port to the Western Countries including Europe, Africa and Americas. Sometimes the Containers physically arrive at Jebel Ali Port and are as it is shipped by way of change of destination (Ship-Shore-Ship). Sometimes Only the Documents are changed, by what is called Issuing a Switch Bill of Lading. This method is mainly adopted by the Trading community while undertaking a Cross-Trading Shipment.
