I was inspired by my father who worked first at Hansa Line (A German Shipping company in early 1970s) and then as Shipping Manager at Williamson Magor, Calcutta, one of the largest Tea Exporters in India. My father always wanted me to become a Chartered Accountant just like my brother. After following his wish for a year, I realized that Accounting and Book-keeping is not my cup of tea.

My journey in the Freight Industry thus began in early 1992 in New Delhi, working in a Customs House Agent (Broker) Company in the operations department, handling Sea Freight and Air Freight Clearance. Growing from grass root level, with this hands-on experience, lots of personal initiative and a great appetite to learn and grow, I rapidly made strides in the industry. My core strengths have always been a positive attitude and a solution focused approach enabling clients to feel confident in our services.

As this message is being written, I have behind me more than 28 years of experience in the industry in India and UAE, having handled almost every possible kind of shipment and solved almost every possible kind of challenge with lots of memories, learnings and experiences.

Along with my team, I bring all these learnings, maturity and experience to provide a sustainable solution for their requirements. We believe as an organization in building long term relationship with all stakeholders be it our clients, suppliers, partners and team members. We stand by strong ethics and are guided by our core values.

In 2016, my life took a turn as I discovered my passion for public speaking, training and coaching. I got certified in various programs and bring all these learnings in empowering the AFS team to perform better.
